Despite Drake's weak street credit (He started out as a child actor whose character was in a wheelchair in the teen age soap opera, Degrassi, and hangs out with Justin Bieber on the Reg) he has been one of the biggest success stories and standouts in hip-hop. He remained unsigned for so long until he caught the attention of Hip-Hop king, Lil Wayne , and was signed to his Cash Money/Young Money record label.
